I found the initial sketching of concepts for the son character to be easier than those for the taxidermist as I already had a pretty clear list is features I knew I wanted to include, however I did have to try and make it "non-generic". 5 seems a little too "healthy" and 7&8 seem a little old. I think the most successful are 6, 12 (like the hair a lot on this one) and 14 becasue he just looks so timid.
What age is the son supposed to be? I'd say 11 works best if he's supposed to be younger.
